Our anxiety and mood disorders programs are designed to support individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or other mood-related challenges. Programs are offered through immersive inpatient care or a structured day program and include access to multidisciplinary clinical teams and psychiatrists.

Inpatient program

The inpatient program provides a supportive, structured environment for individuals experiencing anxiety and mood-related concerns. Through group and individual therapy, participants explore their thoughts, develop emotional regulation strategies, and reflect on personal values and communication styles.

Program topics include:

  • Understanding and managing thought patterns

  • Developing coping strategies and emotional awareness

  • Exploring values and strengths

  • Navigating relationships and interpersonal dynamics

  • Communication and assertiveness skills

Day program

The day program is designed to support a smooth transition from inpatient care to everyday life. Participants build on the therapeutic skills introduced during their stay and apply these strategies in real-world settings. Group sessions include troubleshooting challenges and setting weekly goals with clinical guidance.

Getting started

If you are new to Avive, please speak with your GP or psychiatrist to arrange a referral. Our team can also assist with any required assessments.

For patients currently receiving inpatient care at Avive, your treating psychiatrist will discuss options for transition into the day program.

Costs

Avive is a licensed private hospital provider and holds contracts with most health funds. Our team can check your individual health cover and provide a detailed outline of any applicable gap fees or out-of-pocket costs.
