About the program
Facilitated by a qualified art therapist, this group-based program uses art as a medium to help participants explore emotional responses, build self-awareness, and reflect on thoughts and feelings that may be contributing to distress.
Focus areas may include:
Supporting cognitive and sensorimotor engagement through creative processes
Exploring self-esteem and personal identity
Promoting emotional regulation and reflection
Encouraging social connection and communication within a safe, therapeutic group setting
Providing a space for trauma-informed exploration through art-based techniques

If you are new to Avive, please speak with your GP or psychiatrist to arrange a referral. Our team can also assist with any required assessments.
For patients currently receiving inpatient care at Avive, your treating psychiatrist will discuss options for transition into the day program.
Costs
Avive is a licensed private hospital provider and holds contracts with most health funds. Our team can check your individual health cover and provide a detailed outline of any applicable gap fees or out-of-pocket costs.
